Jubilee Celebrations - Monday 6th June

Clifton with Rawcliffe Primary School will be holding a Celebration Day on Monday 6th June to
commemorate The Queen's Jubilee and turning back the clock to become a 1950’s school.

We are inviting all children (and staff!) to come dressed for the occasion and enjoy a whole day of
activities including a lunchtime picnic. Please come wearing costumes from the 1950s if you wish,
otherwise in school uniform.

There will be lots of activities throughout the day such as flag making, stone painting, crown making
and 1950’s playground games including marbles, jacks, cat’s cradle, boules and croquet to name but
a few.

As part of our Jubilee day celebrations we will be organising an inter-house cake making competition, with a Jubilee theme.

If children wish to enter the competition they can make a cake or cupcakes and decorate them with a jubilee theme. These will then be entered into a competition within their School House and judged by their House Captain and Vice-Captain.

The cakes will then be available for sale to parents/pupils at the end of the day.

Please can all cake entries be brought into school on the morning of Monday 6th June. Please can you label them with your child’s name and house and put them on the tables set up outside the main hall.
